Clean Water for Kids

Ms. H Oi is a Vietnamese National

Location: Vietnam

Ms. H Oi is a Vietnamese national who belongs to the E De ethnic group. She and her family live in Ea Bia, a hilly commune in Song Hinh district, Phu Yen province. According to her story, most families in her village must get their water from a nearby stream. The water is low quality, becomes cloudy quickly during the rainy season, and as a result has a significant impact on their living circumstances.

Ms. H Oi has three children: one in seventh grade, one in third grade, and one who is 18 months old. Making money is exceedingly difficult for her and her husband because they are both farmers in the highlands. She stated that they can't even afford to buy a single bottle of water for the family. Her family, like most other families in this community, get their water from a nearby stream. Drinking the water from the stream frequently gives them stomachaches and diarrhea. Fortunately, 100 homes in her region now have access to clean water with their new filters.

Ms H Oi shared, "I would want to express my heartfelt gratitude to One ATTA Time and Giving It Back to Kids for their support to our family and the others who live here; the Sawyer water filters have changed our lives for the better."
